I am trying to load the new 20.04 LTS version of Kbuntu on my old PC.

For some reason, it fails on formating / redoing the drive partition.

The old drive was formatted with Ubuntu 18.04. Any ideas what is going on? 🙁

Sounds like you’re not trying to save anything…

Why not just boot up a live distro and wipe the drive clean
    I recommend:
    Hiren’s Boot CD
    or
    Slax

Brilliant thank you! I was going to find my Windows 10 boot USB and use it’s partition tools. This sounds even better!

    This was a lifesaver!

Thank you so much for this! Formatted with no problem with the provided tools on the ISO.
